In the grand narrative of the Bible, the opening words resound with profound significance: "In the beginning, God..." (Genesis 1:1). These initial words set the tone for the entirety of Scripture, emphasizing the preeminence of God in the creation of the universe. If we want to see the mighty right hand of God in action (in our favor), we are called to recognize the importance of placing God first in our lives. Just as God initiated the creation of the world, we are urged to allow Him to be the starting point and the one who starts everything we do. In doing so, we open ourselves to the divine guidance that leads to true success, greatness and fulfillment.
