Start Your Week With Purpose

STARTING the WEEK with PURPOSE

Beloved in Christ,

A new week has begun, and with it comes new opportunities, new challenges, and a fresh start. But how do we ensure that we are not just going through the motions of life? How do we step into this week with purpose, diligence, and a kingdom mindset?

Let me take you to a familiar yet powerful Bible story, the story of Joseph.

Joseph’s life was marked by hardships, betrayals, and delays. Yet, despite all this, he remained a man of purpose, working diligently in every situation he found himself in. When Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers (Genesis 37:28), he could have given up. He could have become bitter and lazy, doing just enough to survive. But instead, he worked faithfully as a servant in Potiphar’s house.

Joseph didn’t just do his work; he did it with excellence, even in a place where he was unjustly placed. Because of his diligence, he was promoted. But then came another setback, Potiphar’s wife falsely accused him, and he was thrown into prison (Genesis 39:20). Many would have sunk into despair, thinking, “What’s the point of working hard if life keeps pushing me down?” But not Joseph. Even in the prison, he continued to serve with diligence and excellence.

Do you see a pattern? No matter where Joseph was—whether in a palace or a prison—he worked with purpose, as unto the Lord...

Lessons for us today

Joseph’s story is not just a history lesson; it is a powerful reminder for us today as we step into this new week.

1. Your Environment Does Not Define Your Purpose

Joseph was in slavery, then in prison, but he remained faithful in his work. Maybe your workplace is not ideal. Maybe your business is struggling. Maybe your family situation is tough. But your purpose is greater than your circumstances! Work with diligence, and let God promote you in His timing.

2. God Sees Your Faithfulness

Joseph’s diligence in Potiphar’s house and in prison didn’t go unnoticed. Eventually, God opened the door for him to interpret Pharaoh’s dream, leading to his promotion as second-in-command of Egypt (Genesis 41:41-43). When you work with excellence, God will see and reward you in due time. Even when others overlook you, God sees.

3. Work for the Lord, Not for Human Masters

Joseph didn’t wait for perfect conditions to give his best effort. He worked hard because he understood that he was ultimately working for God, not man. Colossians 3:23 reminds us: "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." This means that whether you are a teacher, a student, a business owner, a stay-at-home parent, or an employee, your ultimate employer is God.

4. Your Work is a Form of Worship

Too often, people separate their spiritual life from their daily work. But in reality, the way you work reflects your faith. If you are diligent, honest, and faithful, people will see Christ in you. Your work becomes a testimony.

As you start this new week, I want to challenge you: How will you approach your work?

Will you show up with enthusiasm and excellence, even when no one is watching?

Will you push through setbacks with faith, trusting that God is still in control?

Will you treat every task, no matter how small, as an assignment from God?

Remember, God can use even the most ordinary moments for His glory. The way you treat customers, the way you interact with coworkers, the way you serve in your church or home—all of it matters in the kingdom of God.

Seek God first

SEEK GOD FIRST  In the hustle and bustle of life, it's easy to get caught up in various pursuits; from career ambitions to personal goals. However, as Christians, it is a must for us to seek God first.  The Hebrew word for "Seek" (“baqash”) means to search out with a striving or desire. His “face”- “His presence”. To inquire or seek diligently. It often implies seeking with the intention of finding or understanding. The Hebrew word for "first" ("ri'shôn") refers to being the initial or primary in order, time, or importance. It signifies placing something or someone at the forefront. In Hebrew, when we say "seek God first," it implies diligently searching for and inquiring about God with the intention of making Him the primary focus and priority in our lives. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO SEEK GOD?    To seek God first means we turn to Him before anyone or anything else for help, guidance, wisdom, and setting priorities. When we seek God first, w...

THE DOOR OF SALVATION

I am honored to write a book on the topic of how to get born again. In this book, I will be sharing with you my personal experiences and insights on this topic. Dear readers! Greetings to you, from all over the world. I am thrilled to have this opportunity to share my insights with you on a topic that I'm deeply passionate about: "How to Get Born Again". Today, we are living in a world that is more complex and challenging than ever before. Many misconceptions are shared behind the pulpits, books and videos on this matter, that generate a type of people that are really not born again. Many preachers promote a style on how to get born again that put the souls in a kind of simulation and make people think that they are born again when they are not. That is why many called Christians are not able to live a sinless life. In our modern time it is so easy to lose our way amid the chaos and confusion. However, I'm a firm believer that it is never too late to start again ...
