In the Beginning: GOD!

In the grand narrative of the Bible, the opening words resound with profound significance: "In the beginning, God..." (Genesis 1:1). These initial words set the tone for the entirety of Scripture, emphasizing the preeminence of God in the creation of the universe.

If we want to see the mighty right hand of God in action (in our favor), we are called to recognize the importance of placing God first in our lives. Just as God initiated the creation of the world, we are urged to allow Him to be the starting point and the one who starts everything we do. In doing so, we open ourselves to the divine guidance that leads to true success, greatness and fulfillment.

GOD AS THE CREATOR AND INITIATOR :

Before anything else existed, God was present, orchestrating the cosmos with intentionality. In our pursuits for success and greatness, acknowledging God as the ultimate creator and Initiator positions Him at the forefront of our endeavors.

Putting God first involves seeking His will in our decisions, following His plans ( not inviting him in ours when we are facing failures and want Him to save when He was not the originater) and aligning our actions with His principles.

God only backs what He has started and when He remains the first. Many let God start, and afterwards they hijack everything, and when things go bad they want him back.

Prioritizing God requires more than just seeking His blessings. It involves cultivating a deep and intimate relationship with Him through prayer, studying His Word, embracing His love and let Him be and remains first.

When we allow God to take the lead in our lives, we have to surrender everything in His control, because He is the One who knows the beginning from the end.

PUTTING GOD FIRST IN DECISION-MAKING :

Acknowledging God as the starting point extends to decision-making. Proverbs 3:5-6 offers timeless wisdom: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." By seeking God's guidance and surrendering our plans to Him, we demonstrate reliance on His wisdom for success.

Placing God first is not a one-time decision, but a daily choice. It requires a continual surrender of our will to His, acknowledging His sovereignty over every aspect of our lives. As we embrace this divine order, we position ourselves to experience the fullness of success and greatness that comes from living in alignment with God's perfect plan.

THE PRINCIPLE OF FIRST FRUITS :

The concept of offering first fruits is not a human idea, but God's idea. This concept is rooted in the Bible and symbolizes putting God first in our resources. Proverbs 3:9 advises, "Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops." By giving the first and best to God, believers express gratitude and acknowledge His role as the provider of success and abundance, that unlock the increase of everything we are doing in our life.

"In the beginning, God" serves as a reminder that true success and greatness flows from a relationship with the Creator and Initiator of all things.

Seek God first

SEEK GOD FIRST  In the hustle and bustle of life, it's easy to get caught up in various pursuits; from career ambitions to personal goals. However, as Christians, it is a must for us to seek God first.  The Hebrew word for "Seek" (“baqash”) means to search out with a striving or desire. His “face”- “His presence”. To inquire or seek diligently. It often implies seeking with the intention of finding or understanding. The Hebrew word for "first" ("ri'shรดn") refers to being the initial or primary in order, time, or importance. It signifies placing something or someone at the forefront. In Hebrew, when we say "seek God first," it implies diligently searching for and inquiring about God with the intention of making Him the primary focus and priority in our lives. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO SEEK GOD?    To seek God first means we turn to Him before anyone or anything else for help, guidance, wisdom, and setting priorities. When we seek God first, w...

Faith in God's Plan

Life is a journey filled with twists, turns, unexpected detours, valleys and mountains. To succeed in life, everyone has to follow a plan. God, as a loving Creator, knowing that the devil will fight mankind, created men with a divine plan to follow. It is only in this divine plan that men can rule on the earth and over Satan ( if you want to know more, check in my book THE DOOR OF SALVATION). In the midst of uncertainties, chaos and bad outcomes, you have to find which plan are you following; your own, the devil's or God's plan.  The Hebrew word "ืชַּื›ְื ִื™ืช" (tachnit) is used to convey the concept of a plan or a scheme. It generally refers to a predetermined course of action, design, or intention. It encapsulates the idea of a deliberate and organized direction for the unfolding of events according to God's will. The fall of humanity show us clearly the consequences of not having faith in God's plan. Until today, after redemption, many people still ask ques...
