Life is a journey filled with twists, turns, unexpected detours, valleys and mountains. To succeed in life, everyone has to follow a plan. God, as a loving Creator, knowing that the devil will fight mankind, created men with a divine plan to follow. It is only in this divine plan that men can rule on the earth and over Satan ( if you want to know more, check in my book THE DOOR OF SALVATION). In the midst of uncertainties, chaos and bad outcomes, you have to find which plan are you following; your own, the devil's or God's plan.
The Hebrew word "תַּכְנִית" (tachnit) is used to convey the concept of a plan or a scheme. It generally refers to a predetermined course of action, design, or intention. It encapsulates the idea of a deliberate and organized direction for the unfolding of events according to God's will.
The fall of humanity show us clearly the consequences of not having faith in God's plan. Until today, after redemption, many people still ask questions like "What is God’s Plan and purpose for me? Why doesn’t God answer my prayers? Has He abandoned me?".
God does indeed have a plan for everything and everyone, including you. It may be difficult to see that at any given moment, that is why many compare God to a child playing with an ant farm, but He definitely has one. You must have faith in God's plan, because He knows the beginning from the end.
Proverbs 3:5-6 encapsulates the essence of trusting in God's plan: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." This assurance extends beyond mere acknowledgment, urging us to entrust every aspect of our life to God, confident that His plan far surpasses human comprehension.
THE SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD :
The Bible consistently affirms the sovereignty of God, emphasizing His control over all circumstances. Jeremiah 29:11 declares, "For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." This verse reminds us that God's plans are not random or capricious; they are designed with a purpose, offering a hopeful future.
TRUSTING IN DIVINE TIMING :
One of the biggest problems of mankind is trusting in Divine timing. Patience is a virtue often tested in the face of waiting, for God's plan to unfold. Ecclesiastes 3:11 reassures us that God's timing is perfect: "He has made everything beautiful in its time." This acknowledgment prompts us to resist the temptation to rush ahead or become discouraged, understanding that God orchestrates events in His perfect timing.
OVERCOMING FEAR THROUGH FAITH :
Faith in God's plan serves as a powerful antidote to fear and anxiety. Isaiah 41:10 assures us, "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Choosing to follow God's plan removes fear, as believers place their trust in a caring and capable Creator.
The Bible is full of stories about people who showed strong faith in God's plan. Abraham, known as the father of faith, is a great example of this trust. In Hebrews 11:8-10, it tells how Abraham followed God's call even when he didn't know where he was going : "By faith, Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going." Abraham's faith wasn't based on knowing everything, but on trusting the One who had the plan.
FAITH IN ADVERSITY :
Trials and challenges are inevitable in life's journey, yet faith in God's plan provides strength in adversity. Romans 8:28 assures us, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Even in the midst of challenges, faith in God's plan allows us to rest in the assurance that God is working all things for their ultimate good.
We must have faith in God's plan even when circumstances seem unclear or challenging. It is an active choice to rely on the unseen promises of God rather than being swayed by temporary circumstances.
In summary, having faith in God's plan isn't about giving up; it's about actively and unwaveringly trusting in the wisdom and control of the Creator. Built on biblical principles, this faith provides hope, guidance, and strength, helping believers confidently navigate life's journey. Through all the ups and downs, may your faith in God's plan shine as a reassuring light, guiding you towards a future full of hope and purpose.
